It’s the journey, not the destination

Any resemblance between me and a packhorse is purely coincidental

With three kids, things are definitely more of a challenge than just having one. Getting out and about is much trickier than before. Those cool Kiwis from PhilandTeds have the mantra “Adapt and Survive”. That’s really what it’s all about.

So getting to the shops, the park or doing the 1000km drive back to our families has to be fun. If it wasn’t, I don’t think I’d leave the house half the time.

This is us on our way to the daycare drop off for Layne. It is about 500m away, so she will quite often walk and push her own pram. We stop and look at the flowers, find letters on car licence plates, pat dogs, talk to the neighbours. If it’s raining, we put the cover on the pram, wear raincoats and splash around. What a great commute!
