B1 and B2

B1 and B2

It was about this time 12 months ago that we found out we were having twins. I had always secretly wanted twins. The first time I was pregnant. We were planning on two kids, so I thought it would be cool to get it over and done with. All in one go. You know, economies of scale and all that.

It’s the journey, not the destination

Any resemblance between me and a packhorse is purely coincidental

With three kids, things are definitely more of a challenge than just having one. Getting out and about is much trickier than before. Those cool Kiwis from PhilandTeds have the mantra “Adapt and Survive”. That’s really what it’s all about.

Fast French Toast

20110613-090328.jpgI love a speedy breakfast! This one is quick and easy and kids can help dunk the bread in the mix.

A friend told me about using a sandwhich press when I was confessing my love of French toast. Brilliant!

Fitzroy, Bruce and the arrival of Jake & Jordan

Fighting the War on Toddlerism

After 50 flights in two years, Layne takes flying in her stride

I have always travelled a lot for my work. And I have always loved it. So when I became a Mum, I wasn’t sure how things were going to go in this respect.

Before I even became a Mum I had already thrown myself out of my yet-to-exist Mummy comfort zone, by agreeing to speak at a conference in Europe three months after my daughter was born. Some fifty flights later, I have learnt a lot about travelling with a baby, but toddlers are truly a test of your battle skills. Continue reading

Tantrums? There's an app for that

Have you been out and about with your toddler and one of THOSE things happened? You know what I’m talking about. A tantrum. One of those tantrums that you thought would never happen to you before you had kids. Or even when you had a small baby. My bundle of sleeping contentment couldn’t grow into that… Continue reading
